It's been an incredibly busy week for Twitter as it's announced a wide range of products across the board. Most of it has been advertising focused with some new security features thrown in for good measure.

Yahoo has just announced another in a long stream of acquisitions, this time in the form of gaming. Today it announced that it bought gaming platform PlayerScale.

3D printing has been used for the first time to create a life-saving medical device. The device was for a newborn baby who had a rare condition affecting his windpipe. 3D printing was then used to produce a solution where traditional technology had failed.
